Bloom & Relax: Calm in a Cup
Create a moment of peace in your day with Bloom & Relax Herbal Tea, a beautifully calming herbal infusion crafted to encourage evening relaxation and mindful self-care. Fragrant lavender buds and delicate passion flower mingle with soothing lemon balm, uplifting peppermint, bright lemon peel, a hint of blueberry, and vibrant butterfly pea flowers to create a refreshing cup that invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
This calming, caffeine-free infusion blends the sedative, earthy notes of passion flower with the bright citrus of lemon balm and lemon peel, cooled by peppermint and softened by floral lavender and earthy marshmallow root. The addition of blue butterfly pea flower creates a stunning cascade of colors that shift from rose to blue to a vibrant purple with the addition of the citrus.
Whether you're unwinding after a busy day, creating a quiet evening ritual, or simply seeking a moment of balance, Bloom & Relax Herbal Tea is a gentle botanical blend that offers a smooth, floral-citrus experience that feels both comforting and refreshing.
Key Ingredients and Their Benefits:
Butterfly Pea Flowers: Traditionally used in herbal medicine to calm the nervous system and to reduce anxiety, its gentle adaptogenic properties may help to soothe mental fatigue and promote a sense of "inner peace" without causing drowsiness.
Lavender: Renowned for its sedative and anxiolytic effects, lavender may help to lower cortisol levels, to slow the heart rate, and to prepare the body for restful sleep by easing tension and quieting a racing mind.
Lemon Balm: A gentle nervine that may lift mood while reducing stress and agitation, it is used in traditional natural medicine to reduce the "wired but tired" feeling and to soothe digestive discomfort caused by anxiety.
Passion Flower: Brewed from the stems and leaves of the Passiflora incarnata vine, passion flower is primarily used to reduce anxiety and to improve sleep quality by increasing gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels in the brain. Its key health benefits include: anxiety and stress relief (calms racing thoughts and nervouse tension without causing significant next-day drowsiness or dependency) and pain and muscle relaxation (its antispasmodic properties may ease menstrual cramps, tension headaches, and muscle tightness).
Peppermint: While often used as a stimulant in traditional natural medicine, in this context, its menthol content may help to relax tense muscles and to clear mental fog, allowing for a refreshed and unburdened state of mind when paired with the other calming herbs.
How to Brew:
This Summer blend is crafter to be enjoyed either hot or cold. It is recommended that you follow these instructions to brew it, first, hot and then add ice or chill. By first brewing it hot, you are extracting as many of the essential oils, nutrients, and flavors as possible from the botanicals. If you brew it cold (i.e. as "Sun Tea") then you will not extract the full potency of the blend.
Measurement: 1 tbs of loose leaf tea per 8 oz. of boiling water (160 degrees F. recommended for best results)
Steep Time: 12 to 15 minutes with the top of the cup/tea pot covered to retain essential oils OR use a French Press for tea/coffee. If steeping in a cup or tea pot, use an infuser for best results.
Sweetener: Sweeten to preference while warm so that the sweetener dissolves completely. It is recommended that if you are sweetening with honey, do so when the tea has cooled to 100 degrees F. or cooler to retain the natural nutritional benefits of the honey.
