Bloom & Breathe: Herbal Support for Respiratory Comfort

Bloom & Breathe Herbal Tea is a soothing botanical infusion thoughtfully formulated for women seeking natural support for mucosal comfort and respiratory wellness during seasonal respiratory discomfort. Earthy burdock root and mullein leaf blend with aromatic thyme and tulsi, while marshmallow root contributes a naturally smooth, soothing quality. Lemongrass and naturally caffeine-free South African honeybush add bright citrus and gentle sweetness to this purposeful botanical blend.

Mullein leaf and marshmallow root have long histories in traditional herbal preparations involving the respiratory tract and mucous membranes. Mullein is traditionally valued in preparations intended to help manage accumulated mucus, while marshmallow root provides naturally occurring mucilage that coats and soothes irritated tissues. Thyme and tulsi add aromatic botanicals traditionally used during seasonal respiratory discomfort, creating a comforting infusion when you are dealing with the congestion and mucosal accumulation that can accompany a chest cold. Catnip may help to reduce body temperature and to soothe irritated bronchial passages.

Bloom & Breathe Herbal Tea is designed to make respiratory self-care a little more comforting when seasonal illness leaves you feeling congested and uncomfortable. Enjoy a warm cup while resting, relaxing, and staying hydrated as part of your normal self-care routine.

Key Ingredients and Their Benefits:

Burdock Root: An earthy botanical with a long history in traditional herbal preparations, burdock root contributes depth to the blend and has traditionally been valued in formulas used during seasonal wellness rituals.

Catnip: Known as Nepeta cataria, this herbal generally has a calming, sedative effect, as well as a history of use to treat mild cold symptoms and sore throats, which is why it has been a traditional folk remedy for centuries.

Marshmallow Root: Rich in naturally occurring mucilage, marshmallow root has traditionally been used to provide a soothing, coating quality to the throat and mucous membranes.

Mullein Leaf: Traditionally valued in respiratory herbal preparations, mullein leaf is particularly associated with formulas intended to support the body's management of accumulated mucus and provide respiratory comfort.

Thyme: Aromatic and naturally rich in volatile plant compounds, thyme has a long history of traditional use during seasonal respiratory discomfort and contributes a warming herbal character.

How to Brew:

Bloom & Breathe Herbal Tea benefits from a longer infusion to allow the roots and leaves to release their botanical qualities.

Measurement: 1 tbs of loose leaf tea per 8 oz. of boiling water (130-160 degrees F. recommended for best results)

Steep Time: 20 minutes with the top of the cup/tea pot covered to retain essential oils OR use a French Press for tea/coffee. If steeping in a cup or tea pot, use an infuser for best results.

Sweetener: Sweeten to preference while warm so that the sweetener dissolves completely. It is recommended that if you are sweetening with honey, do so when the tea has cooled to 100 degrees F. or cooler to retain the natural nutritional benefits of the honey.

Safety Information

Please Note: Burdock Root is traditionally consumed as a food and herbal ingredient, but concentrated preparations may not be appropriate for everyone. Individuals with allergies to plants in the daisy family or those taking prescribed medications should consult a healthcare provider before regular use.

Please Note: Marshmallow Root may affect the absorption of medications because of its mucilage content. If taking prescribed medications, consult a healthcare provider or pharmacist about appropriate timing before consuming regularly.

Please Note: Mullein Leaf should be thoroughly strained before drinking because the fine hairs on the leaves can irritate the throat. Use a fine-mesh infuser or filter to ensure plant hairs do not remain in the finished infusion.

Please Note:  Thyme is generally well tolerated as a culinary herb, but concentrated preparations may cause digestive upset or allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Consult a healthcare provider before regular use if you are pregnant or taking prescribed medications.
